Welcome to Your Online Counsellor
Counselling, Coaching, Stress Management  and Member Care
Redhill & Reigate, Surrey and Online

My names is Claudia Smith and I am an accredited BACP registered counsellor with over 10 years experience of counselling, specialising in providing online counselling, member care and life coaching.

I am passionate about helping people to feel better and live life to the full.   Whether you are looking for counselling support or motivational coaching,  I offer a conversational approach to working through problems, life issues and goals.  I believe everyone is unique and I tailor my approach according to your needs and what works best for you.

My motivation for counselling and coaching is grounded in my personal Christian faith and I have an interest in how faith impacts us emotionally and psychologically. I adhere to the BACP code of ethics and so welcome and work with clients of all backgrounds, including those of faith and those of none.

Youronlinecounsellor provides counselling and coaching in a safe and confidential virtual space using Zoom.  Instead of meeting in my consultation room at The Westway Clinic, Redhill, Surrey we meet online at an agreed time and place, wherever you are in the world.

Online counselling is a convenient way of accessing the support you need, at a time and place to suit you.
Some clients prefer to meet in person first before working online, whilst others prefer to make arrangements solely online. Either is possible, the most important thing, is that you feel confident and comfortable about how you will work together. The same levels of confidentiality are offered so you can be assured that whether you meet in-person or online the same level of care is provided.

Counselling can help:

  • depression including postnatal depression

  • worry and anxiety

  • stress and work related stress

  • anger

  • bereavement

  • interpersonal relationships

  • self-esteem & identity

I work with clients of all backgrounds, including those of faith and those of none.  I work holistically with clients, so when we first meet I will ask about lifestyle including: diet, food, exercise, sleep and how you look after yourself.  I also ask about your cultural background, and if you have a faith that is important to you.  As with all the questions I ask, you are free to share or not - there is no obligation to share anything that you do not with to or don't feel ready to.  If you do share that you are a Christian, I will be mindful of that as we meet and work together.

As with all my counselling, I adapt my approach based on the needs of each client - believing we are all unique and have different ways of understanding our problems and finding ways forward.  I'm comfortable for us to talk or if you find it helpful for my face to face work I have a sand-tray we can use as we work together.

It's important to remember there are many traditions and denominations within the Christian faith.   As a professional counsellor I abide by the BACP code of ethics, so will uphold the principle of autonomy: respect for the client’s right to be self-governing.  For more about BACP ethics, please visit www.bacp/ethics
